Follow Friday
If you’re on Twitter, you’ve probably heard of #followfriday.
On twitter, hash tags allow you to create groups of tweets which are easily searched, or can be followed comment for comment using a site like TweetChat which I fell in love with after Connie Reese mentioned it on her blog, Every Dot Connects.
The #followfriday tweets share interesting people that you think others would enjoy getting to know.
Different people approach followfriday in different ways. Some tell you why they’re recommending someone, some list several people and follow it with the label, and some tell you a category and then list interesting people within that category.
The problem is, whatever you choose to do has to be done in 140 characters. That can get difficult if you have a tendency to be wordy, like I sometimes do.
So my plan is to share my followfriday list on twitter and tell you why they’re great people to follow here on my blog.
@dalydose – When I signed up on Plurk, Jeff was the second person to follow me. Great guy who takes wonderful pictures and lots of fun to chat with.
@HighDef – Wickedly funny and super intelligent sense of humor. I always enjoy seeing what he has to say about the topics at hand.
@pritcharddesign – Awesome artist and great friend. She owns Pritchard Design, a good site to check if you need some art work done.
@quotesnack – If you love quotes, like I do, you’ll enjoy quotesnack. Run by a friend of mine, she posts great quotes that you don’t often see elsewhere.
Since it’s getting late tonight, I’ll stop here. Hope you enjoy this week’s followfriday suggestions!
