Topics That I Want To Write About Soon

2 February, 2008 (13:28) | 10 Minutes, Awards, Blogs, CHD, Memes

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

More 10 Minute guides. I really do want a whole series of these. And if you or someone you know would like to write one, let me know. I think a whole set of these would make a great resource. Hmm, now I’m thinking I need a logo for this series. :)

A Day For Hearts. For the next 14 days, from now through Valentine’s Day, Dr. Mani has asked bloggers to help raise awareness of Congenital Heart Defects. I plan to write more about this later, but one idea I had was to offer an e-book for a donation. I took the instructional article I did a while back, Getting Started With StumbleUpon - Using the Toolbar and turned it into an e-book with better graphics than the article here on the site. You’re welcome to download the book, but please, if you can, make a donation also.

I’ve been tagged for a couple Memes. These will be fun! One is called “The Bucket List” after the movie of the same name. The idea behind it is…If you found out you only had a year to live, what are the things you would want to do during that year?

The second meme is called “7 Things About Me“. I get to share 7 stories about myself with you, and then tag others to tell their stories. :)

http://www.sucomments.com/wp-content/Images/Topics%20Coming%20Soon/Be%20the%20blog.jpgBe The Blog. I’ve had this award on my blog for a couple months now, Ange of Buzzing with Ange presented it to me while I had a rather bad sinus infection, and somehow I totally forgot to ever write about it or to pass it on to anyone else. So, I’ll be looking for others to pass the award on to and explaining what Be The Blog means exactly. :)

I think that’s everything on my list. Not much at all, right. But still, I think I’d better get to writing if I’m going to get done anytime soon. :)

I came through an ad for your site on another blog using Entrecard. Did you decide to dump it? I just started using it, still having fun looking at all the sites. I’ve been using Stumble Upon for a few years but not as a money making thing.

@mousewords Hopefully I can convince Ken to take me to see the Bucket List this week. I asked on my birthday, but we didn’t get there in time. There are so many things I want to do, that it’s hard to limit it. :)

@Ange Thanks! I changed the color to fit the blog better. I’ll try to start on the 7 things today, but have a couple other things that need to be finished first.

I’m really hoping that the Day for Hearts gets a lot of publicity. I can easily imagine if I were in another parent’s place, and what it would mean for me. Dr. Mani’s blog post I linked to had me in tears when I was reading it.

@That Grrl I still have Entrecard on the site. It’s at the top, click on the tab there. If you have a fast computer you might not get chance to see it when the page opens, otherwise it’s the first thing you’ll see. It’s also the only section that shows on every page, so I figured it was the best place to show it. :) I have my own opinions about EC, started to write some of them out, but it was getting long enough to be a blog post itself. :)

Using SU for money making is a very slippery slope for several reasons, not even counting SU trolls. Although not using insta-ads like adsense is a personal decision (I can’t stand them so won’t add them), it’s also a logical one, since the vast majority of my traffic (around 90%) uses Firefox and so likely wouldn’t see the ads anyway.
