I prefer how Bloglines handles the blogs themselves (I really can read through my whole blog list like I’m reading a newspaper), but for extras, like sharing, although both allow it, Google makes it easier. I also appreciate having the ability to create trash e-mails in Bloglines, a great way to sign up for new sites without having to worry about more spam in your inbox.

Now, I need some blogs to add. So add a comment with a link to your blog and a short description about it. I’m interested in all kinds of blogs. And even if I don’t add your site to my reader, someone else might like your description and decide they want to subscribe to it.

As part of my New Year’s resolution to get more organized, I decided to pare down the RSS feeds that I subscribe to and create a “newspaper” that fits my daily needs. To do that, I’m going to delete almost all the feeds that I currently subscribe to, and then look over several of the feed readers, to see which one(s) I like the best.

If you’re new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting! If you’ve written a comment lately that hasn’t been posted, I apologize. Mahalo is a social networking site that I haven’t really messed with outside of signing up for it. I’ve heard some good things about it, and I know that a few people on Twitter use it, but that’s about all I know.

How many friends can I add daily on Facebook?
What is the maximum number for friends I can have?
These are the two most common search terms which bring people to my blog.
The answer to the first question is: I don’t know, and nobody seems to know for sure, but 20 to [...]

I learned a hard lesson yesterday.
Don’t have a ticklefest with a little one when you’re finishing up a blog post, especially one that’s taken a couple days to write. EVEN if you have saved it. J somehow managed to kick my mouse, deleting both the post AND the saved copy in one swell foop.
Soooo, instead, [...]

Regardless of how safe you think Facebook or any other social site is, remember that all of these companies are going to be trying to make money in some way. So, with companies claiming full use of your information, what can you do to protect yourself?

So, I’ll start off by writing about the sites that I know and use. If there are ones that you’d like to see a guide to, post or send me the link and I’ll try to include it. If you know someone who would be a great author for a guide to a site, let me know.
